I know most will say get rid of the EGR with LS1 Edit, but the car has to passed OBD II computer scan for emission functions and visual check. I'm not sure if the OBD II scan will pass if the EGR function is eliminated with LS1 edit.
Anyone know?

Re: How well does LPE adapter work for adding EGR to LS6 intake? It is a little pricey considering that you will have to do the install and drill a hole in your $$$ intake. You will have no one to blame if you get leaks or screw up you intake. I talked with Jason Haines at LPE. I was still left with questions after talking with him.

Re: How well does LPE adapter work for adding EGR to LS6 intake? The adapter works fine! I had mine on for 3 months now with no problems. The EGR adapter has its advantages for the "green tree friendly" car enthusiast. Installing the EGR adapter on the LS6 intake is straight foward. Mine came with no instructions so I called LPE and I had no trouble understanding how it's installed! Buying the adapter definitely cuts your cars down time by not having to ship your manifold out and wait up to 2 weeks to get it back to be modded. You can have it modded and installed and rollin within a day or two instead of weeks. I say two days for sure because you have to let the adhesive they provide to cure properly to ensure a tight proper fit.
My car has mostly all the external bolt-ons except headers and running stock cats and my last dyno numbers with the LS6 intake bolted on I gained 5 rwhp and 4 rwtq over the stock LS1 manifold. It doesn't seem like much but I hope to gain a little more after I get LT headers on. The cost of the EGR adapter is very reasonable considering the short down time. Plus you're still emissions legal for the smog police! <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

Re: How well does LPE adapter work for adding EGR to LS6 intake? I've had mine on since early spring and it was easy to install and seals up great and looks stock when you have your egr hooked up, well worth the $$ IMO for the completly stock look.

I decided to eliminate my egr instead. I can send it out to you if you're interested, and then just send me a check or money order after you get it. I paid $76.00 but I'd sell it for $50.00, including shipping. E-mail me if interested.
