I have the Hooker LT, Y-pipe and catback on my 2001 SS. Good choice. As for what you need, you'll need the air tubes from a '98-'99 (or block off plates, since you are removing the air stuff) vehicle and an EGR block off plate. Install was easy, follow the direction to a tee, less the part about lifting the car 36". I did the header install in my driveway, by myself. I only raised the car ~20" and used two jack stand and my floor jack. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh, almost forgot. Do not use the Hooker supplied gaskets, I reused my metal OEM gaskets and Ihave no leaks. Also, do not use the supplied bolts, you can reuse the OEM ones from the manifolds.

I don't know if I already addressed these questions on another board, but I am happy to do it again!

Those two are the best cats available on the market. My friend's SS (has SLP-LTs) has the RT cats. Random Techs are the best flowing, but most expensive. Some of the members from a local 3rd gen club I am part of run the CarSound cats, I will be running one in my 3rd gen Z28 as well.
Yes, I believe that is the same. Yes, you can get it at Pace.
