Deleting the EGR valve.. questions...
Any tips on removing it? Does anyone make a blockoff kit to plug the manifold and to cap off the EGR hook-up on the headers?
Do I just unplug it? Is it ok to just cut the wires and tape them up?
Any hints on this would be helpful.. seems pretty straight forward but I want to be sure..

To plug the intake manifold I bought a 1 3/8" expandable rubber plug from Pep Boys. Looked at Autozone first but they didn't have that size. Pep Boys had the same brand in that size. Just tap it into the hole and tighten the nut on top.
Or you could go the expensive route and get a 2001 manifold. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
For the wires I didn't cut anything, just wrapped it with elec. tape and secured to the bundle of wires wrapped in heat tape right there. I have no custom tuning so as soon as I clear the code with A-tap, it comes right back.
Keep an eye on the rubber plug. I did the same thing and this past Friday it got sucked up into my intake. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Car's down till I get the LS6 IM. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
