What size hose is needed for say an SLP lid. And would it work with an 85mm SLP meter?

just want to let you know that i have a Direct Flo lid from LS1 Motorsports and the SLP bellow i bought wont fit... i guess the direct flo lid took a lot of space or something... maybe its just me but i need some advice on wat to do...

Trim the SLP hose a little at a time, it's better to be a little to long then to short.
