Hooker headers?
Thanks, Larry
Question for you regarding the converter install ... how long was the install? I have done various converter install and tranny changes on 3rd gen, one LT1 clutch swap, but never touched an LS1. Input would be appreciated.
Anyway to answer your questions:
Can someone tell me if this is a job that a person can do in the driveway?
Yes, you can install them in your driveway. Having a friend helps, I did it without help just by my self.
Do we need any special tools?
I used a 3-ton floor jack and two jack stands, 3/8 ratchet, various metric sockets (from 10mm - 17 mm, various extensions (3"-6"), universal joint, spark plug socket for the rathet, and a hammer/mallet.
It took me a total of ~10 hours to install. I had to do it over two days, considering it was 100* outside during the day where I live. So I did part in the morning and part at night.
Looking back on it now and thinking the same way you did, it was a breeze.
Andy
Thanks for the info, Larry
