Default Any problems with gutting cats?

I'm thinking about gutting my cats on my TTS headers since no one makes an off road pipe for them and I can't get an exhaust shop around here to do one either. Are there going to be any problems if I do so?

I have "Ported High Flow" cats on my C5 and I have had no problems. They definately flow better than stock ones I would say that if you are making over 450 rwhp or so, you would need to go with a striaght pipe. The empty cat will start to create a fair amount of turbulance with that much air flow.

Plus "Ported" cats pass the visual inspection

Do yourself a favor and save your cats for possible future use. There has to be a muffler shop somewhere in your area that can make you off the road pipes. You won't regret going that route.

Nobody around here has the equipment to do mandrel bending. I don't need the cats for any reason either as they don't do emission testing here.

I won't be making that much hp so no problem there. Probably around 380 or so.
