Default Corsa to Hooker

Well the Corsa muffler broke internally and was rattling badly upon startup so I just had it replaced with a Hooker Aerochamber. The Hooker sounds freaking mean and I really like it. I've always liked Corsa but I think the Hooker sounds meaner the more I drive the car. It's definately deeper and more mellow sounding. The Corsa was very tinny and high pitched but still sounded good. The Hooker seems to be alot quieter inside the cabin too. I have no complaints and it was very easy mating everything up to my CME setup.

I will say the Corsa's quality is crap! I bought it new off Ebay for $200 and within 1.5 years the muffler had fallen apart. One internal baffle was broken and the inlet 3" pipe was cracked and the bottom case was starting to crack as I could see black carbon forming there. Even if they would have sent me a new free replacement muffler I would still have to take time out of my day and pay a muffler shop to reweld and reinstall. Corsa can take their crap and put it where the sun don't shine! $80 Hooker OWNS $200 Corsa!

I love the sound of the hooker and the soud has just been getting meaner with more mods. When I built my new engine with the bigger cam it sounded awsome then with the blower, it's just sound's badass now.

I saw that you say it's quiet in the cabin, but do you get any drone at all?

$200 Corsa?? I assume just the muffler maybe? The complete system costs ~$700. I have read about some probs with the mufflers but thankfully I have not had any problems.

Nope, no drone or resonance of any kind. The Corsa didn't have any either.

Yep, found the muffler and all associated parts except for the tips $200 on Ebay. New in the Corsa boxes. Same guy was selling the tips seperate for like $300.
I remember after putting it on reading everyone's story about them falling apart and rattling and it finally happened to mine. Keep your fingers crossed!

Oh well - hope not but all is well for now. You are right though - my favorite part of the Corsa is NO drone at all inside.
