Default LT1 plug wire help

Know this is an LS1 forum, but like me I know there are alot LT1 owners out there to. Installing plug wires this weekend, and have heard they are an absolute pain in the butt. Any advice or secrets would be appreciated.

Default Re: LT1 plug wire help

On my 1996 Z28 I installed some 8mm wires. That was a PITA. On my wifes' 1997 Z28 and my friends with LT1's I used the 7mm Double Silicon wires (26.99) from Autozone. The lengths are near stock and they fit in the looms. That to me makes it alot easier if you have wires that fit in the stock retaining looms. My friends had MSD 8mm wires that didn't fit in the looms, and they always ended up burned. Getting good 7mm wires makes it alot easier to keep the wires organized and running in safe locations in my opinion. Hope this gives you some insight.
