Exhaust Question?? I am new to this site and I am searching for the right forum to get an answer to this question.
On a 2005 Vortec 5.3L we are putting in a conversion project, will we get the best performance out of true dual exhaust with no cats? My old school Chevy mind would think so.
Or will we lose performance doing this? There seems to be a wide range of systems being used.
We have sent the wiring harness and the PCM out to get them reworked for this application.
Any thoughts on this??

You should gain some HP with the lower restriction exhaust (it won't be alot, but every bit helps) as long as the PCM is tuned for the duals and no cats, you shouldn't have any problems with codes and the like
