Default rear 02s

From what i hear its ok to drive around with no rear 02s on my headers and that they can just be tuned out.... is this true

as far as driving around without them.....you can...but not the greatest idea....youll most likely throw a SES and maybe run in i think they call it Open Loop mode. But yes you can either go get rear O2 sims to take care of it...or better yet just have them tuned out of your ECM. It is much better IMO to tune them out...cause at the same time you can ave it tuned better for the headers and exhaust you just added

Not quite.....the rear o2's do nothing more than tell your computer if your cats are functioning properly or not. You can drive as long/hard as you want if you don't mind that SES light staring you in the face. Your front o2's control your fueling.

Rear 02 Delete Codes

P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0138 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0140 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0141 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0157 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0158 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0160 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0161 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1
P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2


Turn these codes to "No error reported" in LS1 Edit or Hp Tuners to disable the light and pass emissions if all you have is diagnostic port inspection in your area.
