Yeah. That'd be great.

I've got the TSP kit and if you take your time and do it right then you won't have any ground clearence problems. I've heard that the only torque arm that works with the TSP kit is the BMR. Correct me if I'm wrong

the question of being lowered has a direct correlation to the skill of the installer.

I fabricated a set of 3" duals with bullets on a friends 01 z28 h/c car.

has pacesetters..goes through a DS loop..and he has yet to scrape..AND he lives off a dirt road.

Find a good exhaust shop and have them fabricate them for you.

I'm still at stock ride height. I could tweak the exhaust a little more to gain about another inch of clearence and lower the car a inch and a half with no trouble

If I were to take my setup to an exhaust shop, any idea what they would charge to tweak it? I imagine there would be cutting and re-welding involved, right?

Not really; just take the better part of a day and get the car in the air and just start playing with it. Have you flipped the fuel lines around? I gained about an inch and a half by doing that.

I give two thumbs up to the TSP Duals w/ Sweet Thunder mufflers. Very easy install, plenty of ground clearance, and it sounds amazing. The system will directly bolt up to Pacesetter and Hooker/Jet-Hot headers. It can be made to work with others.

I love my true duals, they were only $600 out the back. 3.5" to the axle, cutouts and then 3" over the axle. My car is lowered about an inch so ground clearence is close but very much worth it.

i actually have better clearance with my TSP duals than with my old y pipe setup. i don't have a body mount torque arm, but wasn't planning on it anyway. the TSP setup fit fine on my QTP headers without any cutting or finessing to the pipes. and the sound is awesome.

Well aren't these the words of wisdom then.

It has been proven time and time again that Y setups can, a good exhaust is about flow, scavenging and affect of the exhaust pressure wave.

A 3.5" Y setup has similar flow abilities to 2.5" duals (remember area, NOT diameter). A good Y merge collector will also scavenge much like an X pipe does. The only point in time Y pipes become limiting is when the flow demands exceed the pipe diameter.

Also if Y pipes are so bad why do LG run a Y setup on their competition C5 Corvette race car?

Honestly, I don't know how safe they are. But I've done quite a bit of research and have never come across that scenario before.

The biggest thing I've heard with them is they produce a lot of vibrations especially when not torqued down well, they also hang down pretty low so lowered cars may struggle.

But I would be suprised if it would rip the bolts off, as it attaches to where a transverse brace would have been and transfers the load longitudinally along the transmission tunnel. As long as the bolts are of the correct tensile stenght and correctly fitted I don't see them breaking easily. Remember tow hitches are attached the same way and they experience far greater stresses.

having a shop fab you a dual setup is the way to go. off-the-shelf setups often have fitment issues.
