How the heck do you remove the power steering pump ?

Im tearing my motor down and can't figure out how to remove the pulley to access the bolts , Is that thing pressed on or what ?

Just get a stubby wrench and crank away. Takes about 15 minutes to get the bolt off that's between the pulley and the bracket. The other two come off easily with a ratchet wrench.

thanks guys , Only took me about 10 min. I couldn't find that damn 3rd bolt the first time ! thanks for the help !

You can also just purchase a power steering puller/installer to actually remove the pulley. I makes taking the pulley off a 2 minute ordeal. I picked mine up from the Snap-On truck, but you can find it elsewhere.

Just for future reference. Go to your local Autozone and get a loaner tool, "power steering puller" for ten bucks! You get your money back, plus tax when you bring the power steering pulley puller back. You can get a loaner tool for almost any job for your car. Just keep that in mind next time you get stuck! Later
