Default LS6 Intake or Catback?

With mods listed, which one would be more effective? Also, on the EGR and AIR fittings, what would I disconnect/block off after the install since I no longer need the EGR tube into the intake? Would appreciate it.

I would do LS6 intake and save money for LTs, y pipe, and cutout and keep stock exhaust( this way you look stock). Cat backs are good for maybe 5rwhp. You'll see more gains for your$$$ if you put that towards LTs from texas speed for 500 including off road y.

i dunno.. you're pushing a LOT of HP with those painted red calipers, STB and cut springs.. you sure you're ready for this?

go cat back.. its your biggest restriction so far. no point in getting more air in if you cant get it out faster

Another vote for the Catback. Get the LS6 intake after that.

Exhaust on these cars is junk from factory. I would not get the LS6 until you have a cam.

Gotta agree with the majority! Get the catback. You'll get horsepower increase with both mods but i got to have a mean sounding car and you dont get that with an intake. Like it was mentioned get yourself some headers and a decent y pipe in the future also. Now dont get me wrong definitly get a good intake in the future as well. The LS6 is a good one but if you got the cash and in the future if your planning on a cam and heads save for a FAST intake.

Go with the catback first. Spend your money on a Corsa or Magnaflow system. The LS6 swap is a good mod, but the engine needs to breathe first.
