Default Miscellaneous Pieces

What sort of parts am I going to need to install a set of QTP long tube headers? My car has 40,700 miles on it, so what is going to need to be replaced, and if so what type should I replace them with? I keep hearing about gaskets and bolts, but would like some clarification.

Do some searching in this section. This question is answered once a week.

Short answer:
Either re-use your stock metal gaskets or buy new stock metal gaskets. You can reuse your stock bolts or use the new ones that come with the headers. Replace your spark plugs with NGK TR55's. You'll need to either extend your factory o2 wires, buy o2 extensions, or replace your front o2's with bosche 13111 sensors (corvette rears). They have long enough wires to eliminate the need for extensions. If you're eliminating your cats you'll either need o2 sims or to have the codes for the rear o2's deleted through tuning.

Just get some multi layered steel gaskets (30 bucks from Thunder Racing)
Assuming you have the tools and everything you'll need exactly what JMM98LS1 said.

Why do the spark plugs need to be replaced?

you will need some o2 wire extentions, did you buy a y pipe to fit the headers, your plugs should be fine, no need to replace them unless you just want to.

The reason for the plugs is often times you crack the porcelain insulator when you remove the stock manifolds, or install the headers, or if you manage to break one when removing the plugs.
It's better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them (especially at 9pm Sunday night and you need the car to get to work Monday morning)

The main reason for changing plugs during a header install, especially if the plugs are still stock, is that some or all of the platinum discs have fallen off causing the gaps on your plugs to be all screwed up. Change em....it's like $7 and 20mins time.

So gaskets, new bolts and spark plugs? Is that everything?
Any type of gaskets and bolts that I should go with?
