New combo please help First of all I have an 02Z A4.st3500,Grots,a.r.e t.b,GMS,ASP,lid,BMR stuff and brand new set of 373's.Car was a 273 with a best run of 11.73@114 w/ a(1.57)60ft.11.90to12.00 all day.I just recieved HPP3.Only programs I used:6400rev,(-3)1st to 2nd (-4)2nd to 3rd 160 stat and 373 speedo control.I run E.T streets 26x10.50x15 at about 12 psi.Torque management was noticable w/273's but now falls flat on its face.Car runs like crap.Part due to sub par 60fts 1.75-1.80 wheel spin.Should'nt these tires do the job? And by the time the car gets through torque man. its bumping the rev limit.Any sugestions would be greatly app. thanks Jim.

Re: New combo please help Firstly, make sure your car has enough tranny fluid. Just in case you dont know, you check auto fluid levels with the car running, hot, and in park. Proper fluid levels are key to proper shifting.
Secondly, why only the 6400 rev limiter? Put it to 6600...you shouldnt hurt anything.
And a few questions:
You are racing with the car in D or OverDrive, right (meaning to say that your not manually shifting)?
With your shift points set at -3 or whatever, where is the car shifting on your factory tac?
Could your ET STREETS simply be worn out, and this is why your sixty foot is gone?
Also, your car should be hitting the tires alot harder with 3.73's as opposed to 2.73's.
Have you tried different intial stall speeds since the gear change? There is a good chance that the car would respond differently to you stalling differently since the gear change.
Also, if LS1 edit is available for 02's (im not sure as I have a 00) and any local shops have it, I suggest you sell your HPP3 and get them to delete torque managment and give your positive timing on shifts.

Did you ever get the other tranny problem figured out..? or is this the same one I saw earlier this year? If so.. that's not TM.

Re: New combo please help John,same car.After a 1-2 shift mod.and a trans cooler have'nt had any trans issue's.I played with the shift points last nite and it ran a little better.It is T.M. I just did'nt think it could be that bad.I should of kept the 273's,but I must move forward.Any sugestions on what I should set an Ed Wright P.C.M. at with stock internal's? Thanks for everyones help....Jim

I have Ed Wright tuning.. and it has worked great for me... I can send you a file with all the spec's. But.. for the money, I would think about LS1edit.
