Default X-Pipe Installed...questions...

I finally found a shop that would install the pipes. Right now, I'm running 3" all the way back to a dump before the rear end. As is sits, I don't have any bullet mufflers on it. This thing is loud as hell and raspy as hell. My question is, when I put the bullets in is it going to get rid of the rasp? What kind of bullets do you guys with true duals use?

Thanks...

The dynomax bullets (3" ID and 4" OD on the casing) are just about the only things you can cram under there, one on either side of the tq arm. You can choose between either the 12" of 16" long versions of the bullet, the 12" will let you have slightly better ground clearance if you get it welded in as close to your turndowns as possible.

I put in a Dynomax race muffler (straight through like the bullets, just bigger) right before the turndowns. This is on a 4" single pipe, not duals, but I think the sound would be similar. Loud? Yes. Raspy? No.

I have a true dual x-pipe system, with bullet mufflers, and turn-downs before the axle. Its the smoothest sound you'll ever hear. No rasp what-so-ever

Bullets should get rid of it. I'm running 4" bullets and have no rasp. Sounds awesome.

Why is dr.gas suggesting mac users to only use the 2 1/2" piping? Did any of you with the 3" have any clearance issues at all?? Any moving things around? Aftermarket torque arms? Rear ends? Thanks.

I was looking at doing this and using flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers but would only about 2"'s of ground clearance. How do you guys not scrap your exhaust of at every dip?

Short bullits here. I started my car before the mufflers were installed. It sounded like ****. I was praying the mufflers did something for me. You will be pleasantly surprised. I was

I've got the short bullets on now. It sounds really good at the top of the rpm band.... down low it definately has some rasp to it. I think it's worth it

If you do the 3" Flowmaster collector mod to your MACs, then you could do 3" all the way back.

I'll be switching my MACs to Dynatech stepped headers and switching the 2.5" xpipe to 3" sometime soon. I can't wait

ps...I've changed my exhaust out 6 times. This will be my 7th. I've tried everything to see what sounds and flows best. X-pipe systems are definitely worth it.
