Water Pump... how hard to get off?
Got a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer:
1) How hard is the pump to get off? Do I just need to remove the belts and hoses and then unbolt the pump? Are there any accessory bolts or anything else running through it that I need to know about?
2) Should I replace the whole water pump while it's off, or just replace the gaskets? How much is a water pump for one of these cars? (99 TA)
3) Should I put RTV on the gaskets when I bolt it up, or just put the gaskets on "dry"?

Be sure to replace the water pump gasket. I always try to use some form of high temperature sealant on the edges of the pump, but I am very ginger when I apply it.
Make sure that you proper torque the water pump down with the proper sequence.
It is a quick easy job.
