Default Y-pipe question

I'm planing on doing the exaust on my 01 WS6 with Jet Hot headers to some type of Y-pipe. I was wondering if anyone has heard of some one doing cutouts after the headers and before the Y-pipe goes to a single pipe. So pretty much 2 cutouts in the Y-pipe. If anyone knows if this will work or if someone makes a Y-pipe with cut outs in it, or its just an all out dumb idea and just to put a single cut out in the I-pipe is a better idea...Thanks for the help

Will the QTP one fit the Jet Hot headers, or dose the application matter?
