Default slp header install question(s)

Don't know who has done SLP headers, but I just bought the long tube headers and 3" y-pipe, high flow cats and the install kit from SLP and am going to install them this coming weekend on my 99 ss camaro.
It seems the shop I bought them from gave me the header kit for a 2000 LS1. Looking at the install instructions and packing list the major difference is the required EGR tub extension kit for the 98-99 LS1s. I don't have these parts because they gave me the wrong one and when I called they said that they have installed the 2000 LS1 kit on pre 2000 cars before and that was the last set they had. I explained that without the EGR extension my current EGR tube will not reach the header EGR tube location. Has anyone had this problem and do you know if it is possible to make or modify the existing EGR tube to be longer? Or should I demand they get it from SLP or give me my money back because they are the same price? And you can't get the extension tube kit from SLP by itself, it comes with the headers for 98-99 LS1s. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd be on the phone rippin that guy a new A%$*&!@#. Think about it you paid all that money for the wrong parts. Plus if you rig it some how every time you pop the hood and look at it, you will be pissed at what happened and the results. I don't know maybe it's just me, but my self satisfaction and my car's integrity are important. Just my .02

thanks for the info and the offer, you guys are great, but I talked to them today and they are getting me a EGR tube from a 2000 to use at no additional cost. Since the EGR location changed in 2000, that's all I need and it will be better than the extension from SLP which would be an additional pipe and gasket and more bolts. This way it is a straight run with one pipe like the factory 2000 - 2001s. If I get a LS6 intake the EGR will be gone! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
