Default please help

I did the free ram air mod this weekend... now my 2002 is acting very strange.. if I try to get it above 3500 rpm, it kicks it back down to under 1000! There's also a very audible whistle as it gets closer to this point (doesn't sound bad to me, just wondering what the deal is with it)
Any help is greatly appreciated. <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

The !FRA mod shouldn't create any problems.
The only thing I can think of would be an issue with the MAF or the IAT. Nothing else is even involved in this mod. You might want to try resetting the PCM. You were careful not to let anything touch the little wires inside the MAF housing right?

As for the whistling, that could be your car getting extra air. I installed an MTI lid and I did the !FRA mod at the same time. Mine whistles a little bit too.

Just food for thought.

No problem. I hope it works out for you. If not, keep posting here. The guys here will help you resolve your issue. The people here are awesome!

Maybe your bellows isn't fully secured or connected to the MAF or the Throttle Body. Just take your intake off and put it together again carefully to make sure everything is ok.
Let me know how it goes.

Glad to hear you that it's fixed!
I knew it had to be a simple problem with your intake somewhere. Happy to help...
