Josh, what for, may I ask? My damn light always comes on despite my car being full on coolant. Just curious if you had the same problem I do.

At first I got all pissed off thinking my car was drinking coolant, then I noticed that the radiator is completely full everytime I go to fill it up. So, the only other possibility is the sensor has went bad and causes the light to stay on. Not really a big deal, but I am picky and I don't like a lot of warning lights in my face. My SES light stays on enough because of the disconnected EGR, thats enough lights for me

Anywho, anybody got that # handy??

My wife's car did the same thing. I went ahead and bought a sensor for around 55 dollars and the light has not shown since. Also, I've been told that the sensor can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and it has worked for some. However, I'm not completely sure how true it is but, maybe it's worth a try? I know I would have tried it, had I not purchased the sensor beforehand.

Good luck, and yes those darn lights sure are a pain to stare at all the time

This is a common problem and most of the time can be corrected (for how long varies). Seems they get corroded and nasty over time. Take the sensor out and clean it off well. It's worth a shot before going to buy the sensor. GM ended up removing this sensor on later cars because of it's problems.
