Coolant LIGHT sensor part #???
Coolant LIGHT sensor part #??? I need the part # for the sensor that goes to the low coolant light.

Re: Coolant LIGHT sensor part #??? My wife's car did the same thing. I went ahead and bought a sensor for around 55 dollars and the light has not shown since. Also, I've been told that the sensor can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and it has worked for some. However, I'm not completely sure how true it is but, maybe it's worth a try? I know I would have tried it, had I not purchased the sensor beforehand.

Re: Coolant LIGHT sensor part #??? This is a common problem and most of the time can be corrected (for how long varies). Seems they get corroded and nasty over time. Take the sensor out and clean it off well. It's worth a shot before going to buy the sensor. GM ended up removing this sensor on later cars because of it's problems.
