exhaust leak with dynatechs

exhaust leak with dynatechs alright so after putting them on and with their trick high flow merge collectors, i sealed up the primiaries and collectors with copper rtv gasket maker. now after getting on it a bit im hearing a continous ticking at low rpms til about 30mph til the drone overpowers it. is this alright to do, i was told it would seal them up, but now i may have to weld them up.
also if you do have dynatechs and welded the collectors to the primaries, how was this done as the muffler guy didnt see any way to get all the way around each primary for a good weld. thanks for any input.

Re: exhaust leak with dynatechs Get the weld-on collectors. Fixed all of my issues with one shot. You can call Dynatech directly to get them.
No real power difference with them either - pulled 491/490 RWHP/RWTQ with the leaky slip-on collectors, and 495/489 RWHP/RWTQ with the weld-ons. Measurements are similar enough to be within dyno noise level.

Re: exhaust leak with dynatechs i have collectors part # 80-01515C which are the high flow merge collector 1 7/8" to 3".....just guess i'll redo the RTV and see how it turns out.
