Y-pipe to stock manifolds?

Y-pipe to stock manifolds? Let's say that you were going to purchase Mac headers and y-Pipe but not all at once. Can the Y-pipe be bolted up to stock manifolds? And Vice Versa can the Headers bolt up to stock y-pipe? Obviously this can not be done with LT'S. But how about midlengths? If not Macs are their any header/y-pipe combinations that do not have to be installed together? I am asking because I want to do the Y-pipe and cat back first. Then after Factory Warranty expires go with the headers. I have a little ways to go. I would just go with the cat back but I want the Loudmouth and everybody seems to agree that with a ORY and headers the loudmouth becomes annoying. 65 miles to work one way, all Interstate..... Re: Y-pipe to stock manifolds? What you have in mind does not work with midlengths. You could think about running MAC or Bassani off road y for stock manifolds, but it will not bolt to other than shorites when it's time for more. Dunno if you want to do that and how much would that differ from warranty point of view compared to full headers. Other than SLP or Borla y bolting after cats is illegal anyway.
