I put a spintech cat back on an '02 SS...sounded SOOO GOOD. it pretty much sounded stock at idle, almost zero drone cruising/lightly loaded but it screamed loud under full throttle.

Loud Mouth is oyur best bet

J/k...I have no idea what to get when it comes to being quiet. I have Borla on my can and when I bought it it had the most restrictive plate in and it wasnt too loud. Then you can adjust how loud oyu want it if you get sick of it.

I think its two quiet for the price.

Then again. I really don't see a point in getting a catback if you don't want it to be louder than stock. Unless it had straight pipes to begin with then yeah.

lol, I'm going for the sleeper effect. I'm getting a 224/224 and wanna keep it on the DL (not download, damn nerds) if you know what I mean. I will have the cutout for when I wanna get noticed. I just need to be sure that my center section (from cats to muffler) aren't too restrictive and won't flow too well to the cutout.

Another vote for HOOKER! In the car its quiet, its decieving how quiet it seems from inside the car. But I get compliments on how it sounds all the time. No drone at all, and its up there on the free flowing catbacks. Can't beat the price of it either

Magnaflow is a decent sounding catback, but with anything other than the stock manifolds & cats it's not even close to being quiet.

SLP Dual Dual or Hooker (little louder) is you best bet.

SLP Dual/Dual + 224/224/.581/.581 112LSA = Fairly loud, even with stock 99 manifolds and cats. Sleeper, I doubt it.

Thats what I have come to understand, Magnaflow's aren't exactly quiet... at all.

The only problem with the Hooker catback, is the fact that it is aluminized steel, not stainless like the SLP or Magnaflow.

I vote for Magnaflow. I just installed mine & it's quiet but still has a really good sound inside 7 outside of the car.
