Macs I have a borla exaust on my 98 z28 m6. I wanna get the mac headers with the off road why pipe. Would this set up be to raspy and loud. If i got it with a cat would i lose performance while lessing the noise? Any help would be apreciated.

Re: Macs It will be loud as hell. I'm running Mac's with cats and it's pretty freakin loud. You can always replace the MAC cats with some high flow cats and you wouldn't lose much power compared to running an offroad y-pipe. I plan on replacing mine with Carsound cats and I've got a Flowmaster collector to replace the restrictive one on the y-pipe.

Re: Macs I have Macsw/ orp and wide open Borla. Its loud as hell! Its also raspy as hell between 2100-2500 rpm. But when you mat it, its pure ******* music, and it flows real nice. They say you can put a bullet before the muffler and lose a lot of the rasp. Cats suck!!!Im not trying to sneak up on anyone <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Macs we install mac headers and the borla systems all the time and they are freaking loud ..... but not redneck rowdy loud , more like rumble and set off car alarms loud ..... the headers really wake up the ls1 though !!!
