Do all lids require you to cut part of intake Is this true? Someone said I think the slp Lid you have to cut part of the intake tube to make it fit and also a new MAF would require the same. Any comments would be appreciated

Re: Do all lids require you to cut part of intake I have the SLP lid and all you have to do to install is remove the stock lid and baffles and then it just bolts right there just like the old parts. Only needed a flat head screw driver to install. Never heard of the cutting.

I'm new to the Ls-1 engine and am learning quickly. I'm tring to mod my car but still keep factory warranty, so Ive got to be able to put everything back to stock when I go back to dealer. Ive been burn't before on my 96 T/A by dealers for something as little as putting 255 instead of 245's on my car. Thanks
