I stand corrected - it is the same pulley and belt in both TSBs - one TSB is newer than the other. If you got a 2001, just take it in to the dealer and get it done under the warranty.

Thanks man, So bOth TSB replace the Idler. For you 01-02 people i would just swap the idler. Its cheap and probably will fix it. You dont need to replace the bracket cause you already have the revised one.. Then again maybe you have the revised pulley too.. Worth a try though.

Hm...if this is the idler pulley that's bolted in with the alternator bracket, how hard is it to get off? To my understanding, you have to replace the entire assembly, bracket and all. Is it best to get it from underneath? Is this something I can do in my driveway?

It is not very hard at all to replace the alternator bracket. I put the front of the car on jackstands and got it from underneath. There is one bolt on the backside of the alternator that is difficult to reach, but other than that it is a simple job...took me like 30 minutes to do it.
