Default what would you guys rather do for your exaust?

I'll keep it plain and simple since i've tried this before and gottne no repsonse.
Would you, or should i, put my cats back on and run through the open cutout, or keep the OR pipes through the dual dual muffler? I have always figured since i got the FLPs a few months ago, that the HIGH FLOW cats would offer the same restriciton as the dual dual muffler, so either or owuld be the same. I also read about FLP only looseing 2 horses from their cats.

If you have ORP's why put your cats back on, if it ain't broke why fool around with it? Not the answer you were probably looking for but that's the way I see it.

I would just keep things the way they are with the ORY and mufflers. But then again, this is me. Your going to pretty much lose the same amount of horsepower either way you go so why bother if its working now.
Also I think cats with cutout would be a cop-magnet. Im not sure if that matters to you or not. From what you say your system setup sounds (excuse the pun) good. If your not having any problems with it I would leave it alone. IMHO my 0.02

Here's the thing, on the moral side of things, cats would make me legal, and not pulute as much. Hence instead of looking at it like "if it works why bother" i say that since it only takes 10 minutes to change, "if cats and a cutout are the same plus legal why not bother".

COBRAY: that what i was saying cats+cutout or OR pipes+muffler = same restriction, and same hp, why does it matter but are you SURE of this. any of you guys? I do notice more low end torque though. But like i said FLP claims they only lost some 2 or 3 horses with their cats.

well, i think it would be a bit more loss than that through cats, but then again, i never saw the dyno, so i can't say. but yeah, morally you would be better, but you have a pretty brand new car, so you still polute less than some 1989 Ford Taurus wagon that's got high miles. So think of that too I say keep the off road/muffler on. Nothing beats running fast, but keeping quiet. cause even with cats, a cutout is pretty damn loud. you'd have more of a chance of being pulled over with cats/cutout for a noise violation than you would with offroad/muffler, and cops NEVER check to see if you have cats(well up here in WI)
