Default DUALS!! Over the Axle?

Has anyone converted to duals and still been able to have rear exit exhaust? Every body I see has dumped the exhaust before the rear axle, is this because it is difficult to get over the axle or just no one wants to? I have a T/A and the rear valance fatia has the indentions for exhaust, i think it kind of looks plain without pipes coming out. Do I have a choice??? Sam

You can go over the rear axle with both pipes on the pass side tou have to remove the brace for the panhard bar bracket though.

Quite some time ago, on one of these boards, there was a post with pics where somebody had run two pipes over the axle on the passenger side. I think they were 2 1/2" pipes. Can't remember where the mufflers were.

Yeah, I got pics of a few different cars with exhaust going over the axle. If you want to see them email me right from my sig and I'll reply them to you.

Do a search, I just explained last week to a guy how he could do it. With the pipes going over each side. I had it in 3", took it off because of weight concerns. It's going back on when I get so much power that I dont have to worry about weight. Good luck.
