Anybody have one of the SLP 2OTL exhuast systems?
They seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck as far as all stainless cat backs. Do they make good power and sound good? How about fit...do they fit well?

I got it. Fit is good. No dyno data but I can tell you can see right through the muffler without restrictions. But, mine came with a ding in the over the axle loop right where the PHB support brace is located. It might be there by design since I remember somebody else mentioning the same. It's fairly quiet at low RPM, minor resonance at highway cruise and it screams when you get on it.

I had one on my 96 vert (LT1), and it sounded awesome everywhere from idle to WOT! It was alot louder than stock, but not overbearing. I could definately tell when my wife would come down the street, about 10 seconds before I could see her... then I put the headers and orp on, and it sounded even better!
The only thing I DIDN'T like about it, is that it was 2otl and not a pipe on each side, but then it grew on me.

I had one on my '99 Z, and I have one on my '02 Z. My '02 Z sounds louder than my '99 Z did. I picked up 23 RWHP on my '99 Z, with a 2OTL/MTI Lid/K&N combo.

Is this the same exhaust that came on the 97 firehawks? I am very interested in this exhaust and am glad to hear everyones positive notes. Is the cheapest place to buy this system through slp. aka 399.99.

Yes, this is the same exhaust that came on the '97 Firehawks and the optional exhaust that came on the 96-97 SS. This exhaust is also the GMPP F-1 exhaust. The 2OTL sounds great on an LT1 f-body. I think it looks pretty good on a Camaro as well. I don't think it would look good on a T/A.
It is the $399 exhaust. Most of our sponsors carry it.

It's an excellent exaust. I've had about 10 different exaust setups and I'm keeping this one for good. Not too loud, but a nice refined sound. I slow down about .2 with the exaust on compared to open headers.

I've heard this exhaust many times on an LT1 and it sounds absolutely awesome! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Never heard it on an LS1, but I'd probably be disappointed in the sound if I did. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> It seems like a good deal so I'd go for it. Besides, hardly anybody has it.

I swapped my dual-dual for the 2OTL a few months ago and I really like it. I was looking for something a little louder than the dual-dual, but not LOUD.
I run long tubes and no cats and there almost no rasp at all. It is actually fairly quiet at idle but gets nice and nasty when the revs go up.
It's also a WHOLE LOT lighter than the dual-dual. The stainless steel looks good and it's well-made. If you can't find a good used one, you still can't go wrong at $400 for a new one.

Does this exhaust have both pipes exiting on the driver's side? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
If so, I couldn't see leaving that empty hole on the passenger's side! <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
