Default Stock Y pipe diameter

Anybody know the stock pipe outlet diameter? I have an '01 Hawk and it has the catback mounted from SLP at the factory. Is the SLP inlet 3"? I am considering a set of Supermaxx headers and they have a 2.75" Y pipe outlet according to response I got back from Dynatech. I am assuming I will need an adaptor?

When you say bottle neck, you mean it is staggered?

Yeah, i think he means a slip fit, not a restriction.

Still I think you might need some sort of adapter.

Ya I ment slip fit. If the I pipe doesn't slide on the Y pipe you could try to have a muffler shop flare the I pipe so the Y can fit in.
