Question LTs and Sportlines??

For anyone that has LTs and Eibach Sportline springs. Is it as bad as some people say about scraping? Bc your car is so much lower AND you now have more exhaust hanging down.

We had sportlines (Their for sale now)installed on our 02 WS.6 with factory exhaust, and we had to be incredibly careful over EVERYTHING. They claimed a 1.8" drop, but when we measured our car, compared to a stock 02 Firehawk, it was EXACTLY 2.25" lower all around. I can only imagine the L/Ts with sportlines.

I wouldnt even try it. It will be too close, mine is dropped 1.25-1.50 and mine are very close. Not bad but close though!

Yeah they are rated 1.7"-2.3". Theres a pretty big difference between 1.7 and 2.3 LOL. Ive never really paid much attention to how low the LTs hang down. I love the look with Sportlines but its not really worth bashing my headers in to have em. Maybe a Pro-Kit would be more suitable. Anyone install the springs themselves? How much of a biatch is it? Ive done it on Fox Stangs but thats it...

I had the Eibach Pro kit on my 01 with Pacesetter LT's. The headers tuck up nicely no problems there, it's the Y pipe that hangs too low.
Here's a pic of the Pro Kit and stock exhaust:

Here it is with the LT's & ORY :

I should have had the tape measure to the left a bit where the clamp is just
under 2-1/2" of clearance there.
I got tired of having to be careful all the time and went back to the stock springs.
Alot of guys run the Pro Kit with LT's and are happy, all depends on how you drive and your own preference of what's too low.

Springs are not a bad job, you'll need a MacPherson style spring compressor for the fronts. Here's a couple of good articles I used:

im runnin sportlines and love the way they make the car sit. heymoej is runnin sportlines with ppc headers and y. its low, but all depends on your driving style/roads. the lowest part of my car and heymoej`s i would say is the torque arm mount. i use to owned a few lowered trucks so i dont mind dodging potholes and big bumps

My Friend is running Sportlines and LT's and he doesn't have a problem. You just have to learn how to drive with them. I just ordered my sportline. Will have them and my Kooks LT's installed soon. Oh yeah and he is also running true duals. Car is low, But it looks sick!! good Luck!
