Need help I have been tring to get my car to stop smoking. Everybody tells me that it is my PCV system.
Need help??????????
List of mods i have now:
Engine: Whisper Lid, Granatelli MAF, Ported TB, SLP Ram air, K&N air & oil filter, HPP3 with the pulleys and the 180 stat, Fan switch, TR 224/224 .561/.561 114ls cam, Comp pushrod tubes, Mac Headers, Comp springs, Comp titanium retainers, B&M Ripper, CAGS!, EGR Tube, Mac offroad Y-Pipe 02 sims, Custom Flowmaster exhaust, ARE Stage II heads, NoS nitrous system(125hp pill)
Transmission: Richmond 3.73 rear gears
Suspension: BMR strut tower brace, BMR sub-frame conectors, BMR lower control arms, Eibach springs (pro-kit)

Re: Need help Honestly, what did you expect with such a vague question? "My car is smoking and everybody tells me it is PCV system. Please help." Need more info than that, it could be your PVC system, could be a ring issue, could be a valve guide issue, could be head or engine damage, could be a head gasket, or it could be many other things. When does it smoke? Idle, acceleration, deceleration, WOT only, etc? White smoke, blue smoke? What does "everybody" tell you? What are thier solutions? Do a search using the term "PCV", and you'll probably find 100+ posts dealing with this same issue, and your solution, if that is truly the cause.
Yes, you can generally get better tech advise here than LS1.com, but you need to be more specific in your question, not to mention, that the board sees less activity on Friday-Sunday (You posted @ 8:06am Friday, and its now 9:17am Saturday) a large number of people do not spend the weekends online, for the most part. Re: Need help Ok here is the scoop. It only smokes at WOT. Sometimes it does it soemtime it does not do it. I have put new heads since the problem started and that did not solve it. I have done a compresion test with good results.
