Default rough idle

is this normal for a basic bolt on car..i think i need to change the plugs..but is the ls1 a smooth idling motor with stock cam or does it need a tune up?

Define rough idle?

My car is cammed, and it runs like a cammed car....a tad rougher. Last night I saw my buddies car again for the first time, his car is stock except for a STS turbo system. I was shocked how smooth that thing runs, I had already forgotten how smooth these cars run stock.

So if your engine doesn't run smooth to the point that you hardly see it rocking back and forth, then I'd have it looked at.

I would also like to know your definition of rough idle. If your talking about engine movement, I would look into some new motor mounts.

no the car doesnt move but while your sitting in it..you can feel it a lil bit..i think its because my car is idling at 500rpms..my tuner hasnt retuned it after the stall install and he said that sometimes you have to bump the idle up after a converter install for some reason..i dono..ill try this and see if thats it..but i do need to change the plugs..im sure there stock concidering the wires look as if they have never came off..and the car has about 75k miles..
