Another oil consumption question (I searched)

So far I have found these things during the search to fix it.
1. Change type or viscosity of oil.
2. put the truck PCV on.
3. Install a catchcan
4. Upgrade to the ls-6 valley cover.

I currently use M1 5w30 and I'm low on oil. It is time for an oil change and after visiting all of the autozone's and other car places around here I have found no GC (i.e. german castrol, the green stuff, da shiznitt oil.)

Any suggestions to an alternative oil to use?

Amsoil on line, $81 a case. 5w40.

I'm responding with agreement for that case. In fact these days the difference is closer with it.
