Is this exhaust possible?
Here is what I'm doing: Hooker LTs, cats right at the header collector (close enough to work), cutouts right after the cats (far enough away for no torque loss), x-pipe right after the cutouts (scavenge the exhaust for higher velocities), bullet mufflers right after the x-pipe (get rid of the rasp) and then turndowns before the axel. And from pictures I have seen of other people's exhaust it looks like this will all end right at the axle with just the right amount of room/length to fit perfectly.
So for you I would be worried about doing the 12" of pipe from the collector to the cutouts and still having room for the cutouts, cats, x-pipe, mufflers, etc. As far as going over the axle it has been done before but you have to remove something on the driver's side... I forget what it's called, but there are people on this board who have successfully done this. And clearance may be an issue for speed bumps on the lower parts of your exhaust system (cats, mufflers, etc) if your lowered.
I want to emphasize that none of this info is from my personal experience but from what I've read for the past year on this board about other people's exhaust in my pursuit for my ultimate exhaust system for my car which I will be doing in a few months. Hope this helps and good luck with your car.
