Solve an arguement A guy in my class that think he knows everything under the sun about cars and he tried to tell the people in my classs that a cat bac system replaced the cats. I said and correct me if im wrond that you keep your cats. Am I right?! I was pretty sure I was but Im hoping I didnt make an idiot out of myself. Also hes getting a 95 cobra......I have a 99 trans am with k&n,lid,corsa,and ram air,a4/3.23's. What would he need done to stay with me? And everyone be realistic with thte comment I know hes going to need alot!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Thanks for the help!

Re: Solve an arguement you are right. well the 95 cobra still had the 5.0 in it. 96 was the first year for the 4.6 in the stang. from what i have been told by my mustang buddies the 94-95 5.0 were slower than the previous(fox body) stangs, they think it is due to the intake receiving air from the side & the air does not go straight in,but has to bend to the side slowing down air vol. if the cobra is stock he will get murdered. the 93-97 LT1's stock for stock easily beat these cars. i would say though that the 5.0 with the right mods can be a terror.

Re: Solve an arguement I havent run my car yet. So far I have the lid/k&n. Im not getting everything else till christmas and that why I included the mods I wll then cuase hes getting that car then. The reason why IM acting so **** is because I stepped up from a v6 camaro that beat he truck and now I have the 99 trans am that hell never have and hes jealous of it! Hes always talking **** about how my car isnt that fast and so on and so on! I just want to beat the holy hell out of his car when he gets it! What kind of horsepower incrase should I fell from the mods I am planning? Realistic hp not the advertised. Thanks for the help....keep those posts coming.
