Default Need Help Fast!

I bought a slp lid and k&n about 1 month ago. I was given a gasket with it but didnt see how it fit on the lid so I just cut it and made it fit around the edges of the lid the best I could. Made the problem I am about to explain better but not good enough. Everytime I clean up my motor I check the lid for trash and my maf screen always has a little microscopic something sitting at the bottom of it! I know this isnt good. What do I need to do or can I do to make sure this thing seal off?! I am worried about getting all this trash in my motor! Would changing to a holley filter stop this problem?

You installed the gasket incorrectly, you would need to buy a new gasket which I understand sell for about $12. I would first remove the gasket then install the stock filter until you get a Holley Power Shoot, the Holley was designed to fit the LS1 the K&N was not. Here's three letters that best decribe the K&N filter, P O S, I think that says it all.

So if I go get me a holley filter I wont have a problem with it not sealing. I think I can sell this filter to a girl around here. Will not having the gasket hurt anything seriously? If it will ill just throw it away and not sell it.

Take the POS K&N and throw it in the trash, install the stock filter until you get the Holley filter. That's as clear as it gets.

I understand that you did it. But when you changed you dont get any dity deposits and stuff in there anymore likeI am talking about? And would selling this filter to someone evertually hurt the motor if it keeps doing now what its doing to my car?
