It blows fresh air directly into the cats so they heat quicker, for emissions purposes. makes a whining noise when it's on. if you don't mind SES lights, take it out.

one thing you guys left out...your car won't be street legal without it. you can get the car tuned so the SES light goes off and you don't throw any codes. you will pass an OBDII inspection but not a visual. even tho, i still say remove it
