what brand headers would give me better ground clearence i like the numbers that the slp lt's put up but i hear a lot about ground clearence problems and i was thinking about lowering the car on inch and the what about the bassanis (or however the hell you spell it) they look pretty nice and are coated and everything else i want to know what numbers they put up compared to the slp's and whats everybody's 2 cents on them cause they run around the same price <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I dont know first hand. however my car is lowered an inch and a half, and i've been searching for headers over the last month. MAC's and the bassanis will give you good clearance, however the bassanis are rather expensive, they are as expensive as LT's and wont produce the power. The MAC's are a good bang for the buck. However, I've concluded that the Jet Hot coated Hooker LT's are the best bang for the buck. and from what I've found researching, the hookers wont cause any ground clearance problems. In fact I've heard a few people say that they gained ground clearance with the ORP. I'm going to hvae a custom Ypipe made for cats when I get the hookers, but even then I dont think i'll have any problems.

I just put on tts with their cats and ypipe and am a bit pissed off at my ground clearance or lack of it..I have slp eibachs..one inch drop and have put a couple of small dents in my header collector tube on each side..have scrapage evident on all the clamps on my ypipe and even got some scrapage on my new quick time cutout controller..I just increased my shock settings..they are kyb adjustables to six back and 5 front out of 8 max firmness..seems to have helped a bit but ride of course got rougher..
I won't go back to stock springs to gain clearance but now am thinking hal shocks..I hear they let you adjust your front height and not sure if they work with my slp eibachs..for the back it seems I could make up some kind of spring spacer maybe to just give me maybe another quarter inch..depends with the right damping or rebound or whatever it is I need i might be fine..
or I could quit driving past 100mph on lousy roads...LOL I would probably get the macs, hookers or flp if good ground clearance is your main goal..I can't really recommend the tts on lowered cars at this time unless you live in a city with no dips, potholes ,etc..think the place is called fantasy island. My city sucks terrible for roads..

I have the Hooker long tubes and my car is lowered with the GMS springs. The lowest point is on the drivers side y where there is a 3 1/2" clearance. Another plus for the Hookers is that the ORP y clears my KBDDC SFCs better than the stock y.

Hookers and FLP's are the tightest that i've seen.FLP clamps hang a 1/2 inch lower.
If your not doing Cats I would suggest Hookers and there Y-pipe.Take your time and clearence everything right the first time.
