Default FLP LTs are on!!

I was amazed at how easy they went in!!

Did notice the clearance issue with the oil drain plug, but other than that, lots of room, and no banging..

Now I have to go buy a catback though, the stock WS6 I pipe is only 2.5" and doesn't connect up to the Y for sh!+.

All in all, 2 cars, 2 sets of flps in 2 days and really no major issues to speak of.

Thanks Thunder, and thanks FLP for a great product.

Chuck

P.S. will post pictures as soon as I get em.

You have a problem getting the oil drain plug out? And, the y doesn't fit properly? To me, that's a bad design issue. My Hookers didn't have those problems. Not slamming you, but I would have been less impressed if it was my FLP's. Actually, I would be pissed.

oil drain plug is a common problem. I ended up just hitting my bolt with a cut off wheel. Problem solved.

As for the y-pipe. I don't care WHAT headers you buy... if it comes with a 3 inch collector to go into the i-pipe, and your i-pipe is 2.75", you're going to have some fitment issues

I personally ended up just getting a peice of 3 inch section of pipe from the autoparts store and placing it around the stock i-pipe (had to cut about 6 inches off the stock i-pipe), then put the other end into the FLP y-pipe. I had to have a fix so I ended up using some muffler repair tape as a temp fix. It lasted about 2 weeks then started rattling. Went to the muffler shop and had them weld that pipe up to the i-pipe and i've had zero issues in the 6 months since. I've been 100% pleased with my FLP's since day one. Couple of tiny issues here and there, but being able to remove and reinstall my header in less than 10 minutes makes it all worthwhile.

I didn't have to get a custom Y pipe fabricated, and I can change from cats to ORY in nothing flat, so yes, I am happy with the headers..

I'm very happy with my FLP's too.I have no oil plug problem and they fit tighter against the floor than the stock exhaust with no banging It's all personal preference. You'll always find someone that hates the product you installed and can't wait to knock it

They look, feel and sound great. LunaticTA did a great job. He pointed and made sure I did not screw mine up. Luckily I had the SLP Dual/Duals already with the 3" I pipe and it fit up perfectly after removing the squished part that used to fit into the old y-pipe.

Now that its finally washed today I can get pics up also.

Thanks LunaticTA

Thanks Thunder Racing for getting the set out so quick. Now were just going nuts waiting for the TR224 CAMs. Should be a nice setup with the FLPs.

Now to hit the dyno and find out how the FLPs did before the CAM.
