Downside to a beather? Pros/Cons?? Hey guys, i have a bolt on 99 SS, just the usual stuff, intake, exhaust and stuff.. im wondering what, if any, are the bad things about running a beather? and what are the good things? I currently have one on my car, probably should have figured out the pros/cons first eh?

Re: Downside to a beather? Pros/Cons?? As far as I know it just relieves crank case pressure more easily... Doesnt the stock system have a little way of going through the intake? Ive heard some have an oil smell to their car, but im no Xpert...
Re: Downside to a beather? Pros/Cons?? it vents the crankcase to atmosphere.. as long as you have the stock pcv setup on a n/a motor and it works correctly.. a breather will not help anything. but the do look cool <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
Re: Downside to a beather? Pros/Cons?? I have found a few breathers at autozone for 15 bucks or so made by GMPP and edelbrock and comes with a K&N filter. The only problem is that it's a srtaight connection type, it doesn't have an angle in it. Is this type of breather fine? Will it fit?
