Bauer Racing TBs ????
Have any of you guys heard anything good or bad about these throttle bodies?

Bauer drives a '00 black SS; that can't be all bad, MYBLKSS!
I'm testing a Bauer ported TB on my C5. No problems. It was his first C5 and he wanted some test miles on it before he sold them.
Hey, I even got a free installation.
I haven't done any performance numbers. We're doing mostly driveability testing.

would buying one of his TB's be worth it by itself?

Well do you have the other intake mods done yet? De-screen MAF, Lid, Filter, and !FRA? If so the only thing you still need to do is the TB.
So yes, you can do all of that for under $400.
As far as numbers go, I would say that the mods on your car have alot to do with it. I don't quote numbers because every car/dyno/mods have different results. A F-body/truck will most likely see 5-10 rwhp. That's just a guess. I am much more concerned about cfm and the cfm gain is around 20+%

You dont have to do any tuning for the more air coming through do you?

Nope you shouldn't have too.
Obviously after you do alot of mods tuning will maximize what you have. The stock system can handle the extra air the TB is giving you.

The results are 825cfm @ 20" of H2O.
That is on a throttle body going out the door to a customer. So the new tricks I have employed have worked. I have a few more ideas to get even more flow out of the 75mm plate.
20" is the level that carbs are flowed at so that's the level I corrected it back too.
(BTW 28" of H20 is what cylinder heads are done at just for you non tech guys)
