about how far back off the collectors is it recommended to place an h-pipe or the x-pipe? thanks

Well...not sure in measurment...but obviously it'll have to be after the tranny. My xpipe is located after the tranny directly under the tq arm.

Directly under the driveshaft yoke. That is as far forward as you can put it. That's how I have it on mine. Goodluck.

yep, unless you want zero ground clearance, the x pretty much has to go under the tailshaft

Based on advice from friends who run low 9 second Stangs, I am running my 2.5" H pipe 15-20 inches after the headers.
