D@mn I made a boo boo. I unplugged my EGR(which did no harm) but now I have a SES light. How do I get rid of it? I tried unhooking the battery....... Still up.
I can take it by work and take a scanner and delete the code but I was wonderin what else I can do?

Turn ignition on, but don't start
Remove PCM Ign and PCM Bat fuses(under hood)
Let car sit for ~30 seconds
Replace Ign and Bat fuses
Turn ignition off for ~10 seconds
Start car, it will probably idle rough
until the PCM relearns settings. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
You may also:
Start car, put in neutral w/ parking
brake engaged for 5 minutes.
Then put in drive and do the same.
This should help it relearn it's idle more
quickly. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: D@mn I made a boo boo. No the dealer won't they cannot modify your pcm in that manner. Your only option is to have the car tuned with LS1 edit & have the tuner delete those items for you. This is a custom off-road tuning specfic to your vehicle's set-up.
