Default HELP! ls6 intake install ??

i have a hose that has nothing to plug into on the passenger side...i disassembled it a week ago and then had to wait for the coolant plugs to come in so i cant remember where it came from...the instructions that i found on the how to site say that there is a rubber line that they plugged. Is this the one?? It splits from the back of the motor from the hose that runs up to the plastic fitting at the front of the new manifold...but the one that has no plug...only runs about a 1/4 of the way up towards the front. TIA

DOH!! Nevermind, fitting was coming out of the valve cover. Which leads me to another question....if i know where all my hoses go, what is this hose that he plugged w/ a bolt and some RTV sealant on the directions from the how to site??

I'm kind of curious by the fact someone plugs a line with a bolt and sealant.

I think the site says he used 2 front coolant lines instead of plugs for the back, so he sealed the rear one with copper RTV and a bolt. If you used plugs you don't have to do that.

yea i think i read it wrong...install went good...except for one sensor i think i broke...or at least i HOPE i broke. its behind the manifold, its about 2" long and cylinder shaped, didnt come all the way off, only loose...when i fired it up, oil pressure pined past 80. Shut it off, and so far thats the only thing i can find thats broken...everything was fine before this so i dont see why my pressure would jump like that just b/c of an intake manifold swap. Anyone know if thats the oil pressure sending unit? If so is there a place cheaper than the stealership to get one?

Sounds like that's what it is, on the drivers side rear right? Maybe someone will chime in to confirm. Been a while since I helped a buddy do his LS6 swap.

Yep, that was your oil sending unit you broke. I think there around $30 to $40. I'm not sure though. I bought one years ago before I swapped my intake. Just incase I broke it. I've had my intake off a few times and have never broke mine yet, but I always have the spare laying there just in case.

yup definatley air connection, I say again, when you are removing the manifold from these cars, disconnect the hose going to the brake booster, follow it to the manifold. you will find it goes behind the oil pressure sending unit, you have to lift the hose over the sender so you do not brake it. this is for anyone reading this that is going to attempt to change thier manifold. Sorry it is to late for you but now your 80 bucks wiser or broker either way. let us know how it all works out.
