2001 Ls1 Egr
2001 Ls1 Egr So what's the deal with the 2001's not having an EGR? Does this mean when I go to buy headers that I don't have to worry about the EGR tube? Basically, I want to be able to look at the header and say, hey this looks like racing headers, which, if I have no EGR, then it shouldn't matter, right?
well most better brands allow you to pick race which has no emmissions fittings, and you can get 2001's with just the air tube holes. so yes your right, if you have an 01 you want either race headers and dump the air tubes, if you are losing your cats, but if your keeping them the air tubes will extend the life of your cats so you want headers for an 01 with air fittings.
