Ported Throttle Body Looking at the ported throttle bodies makes me wonder about the placement of the 2 tubes that people use as extentions. I am thinking that once extended into the oncoming air flow it defeats the purpose a little. The original design must make a small amount of vacuum there plus the 2 tubes extending into the air stream might disrupt the air flow some. As an alternate it seems like you could cut a piece of 1/4" thick teflon to cover that area, form the venturi with some Devcon, then after it dries pull out the teflon leaving a 1/4" slit that faces down. I think that would restore the vacuum and not cause any airflow problems.
Anybody have a reason for not trying this? If not, I think I'll go for it this weekend.
