bosch platinum+4 spark plugs?
maybe you installed them wrong or something..
Mine have worked great....lots of miles...and smooth idle always..
I cant believe someone says that Bosch plats are bad...
there may beothers that work better for a certain applications..
But there is nothing wrng with bosch plats at all for a basic ls1
I can't say anything about NGK's because I've never used them, but they seem to be the plug of choice for internet LS1 gurus. My vote goes for AC Delco plugs in any GM product, they may be stock, but they have NEVER let me down in any GM application.
Yep I totaly agree with this statment Bosch are junk. I'll recomend AC Delco Iridium plugs their 100,000 mile plug thier about 6 bucks a plug at the store ( find them online for cheeper) but they are a good plug.
I've always been the type of guy to give new things a try. With all the hype of the TR55 and TR6 plugs I tried them out and noticed a stumble, or "miss" at idle and the car didn't feel as snappy with the copper plugs as it did with the TR55ix spark plugs I replaced them with.
Having recently tried out the WeaponX K6CF Extreme Iridium plugs I noticed a large difference over the TR55ix spark plugs in idle and engine response so I firmly believe a proper spark plug design is advantageous to the engine. I can't comment on the Bosch but I can say if I don't need to replace the plugs as often with an Iridium or platinum design, it doesn't hurt my feelings. #8 sucks to get to!
