Hooker
I plan on getting Hooker L/T Super Comp Headers in a week or so, but I dont know what kind of pipe to run. I was thinking about a ory (dont know what brand). A Hooker Cat-Back with a Flowmaster muffler. Ive considered putting a cut-out on the I pipe but not too sure. Im looking for more of a performance set up than something really loud. Is this a good set up and what else could I do than this. Thanks

+1 on not changing the hooker muffler for a flowmaster.i'm not a big fan of the true duals,i like my ls1 kinda quiet,i have 3" duals on my 550-575 hp 406 3rd gen and needless to say the noise is very loud.

i went with jet-hot because its the same price as hooker, but they took hookers design and made it a little better and they have the jet-hot coating.
i got the jet-hot headers, jet-hot y pipe, and a loudmouth (stainless) but i got a magnaflow to replace the loudmouth muffler.
the only problem is, i didnt put any of this on the car yet

do not buy the flowmaster exhaust, it just sucks, but its loud. the hooker flows very well, and if you ever add a cam, it will definatly liven up the sound.
I just love my hooker
